Three questions decide the purchase: how good is the Greek and Hebrew tooling, what will the library cost over ten years, and what happens to the books you bought if you leave the platform. A pastor with a Greek New Testament, a concordance, and three commentaries read to the end is better equipped than one with four hundred unopened digital volumes.

The largest commercial library ecosystem, with strong morphology, cross-references, and guided workflows. The library is the expense: packages and commentary sets add up, so decide what you will read before buying shelves of it. Budget hardware struggles with it.

Original-language work with fast, exact search
Respected for precise Greek and Hebrew searching and careful scholarly modules. The interface takes learning, and the resource catalog is smaller than Logos. Mac-only from 1994 until the native Windows version arrived in 2013; as of July 2026 the vendor supports Windows 10 or higher alongside macOS, iOS, and Android.

Built around a clean reading experience that syncs across devices. Good for daily reading and light study, thin for heavy exegesis. Buy resources one at a time as you need them.

Free original-language reference in the browser
Free study tools on the web and mobile: interlinears, Strong's numbers, lexicon entries, and public-domain commentaries. Nothing to buy and nothing to install for the web version. The tradeoff is depth: no modern commentary sets and limited note-taking compared to the paid desktops.
